We are an independent not for profit organisation and therefore can only thrive with the economic, political and spiritual support of our community. To maintain our independence and integrity and continue publishing empowering media we need your donations, whether that be your time or money.

Complain

Expose institutions and individuals guilty of Afriphobic (anti-African) practices. Inform Ligali if you have seen, heard or read an anti-African TV /radio programme, lesson, lecture, article or advert. However, we do need evidence to successfully progress most cases. Register your concerns direct with the regulators as well as our media monitoring unit.

Create Archive

Become a Griot and create cultural media that reflects our history, politics, spirtuality, traditions and culture. Write articles, stories and plays on our current affairs. Take photos of key events, record interviews. Record the memories of our elders, the opinions of our children and help preserve our legacy for future generations.

Promote

Ligali does not advertise. Most people hear about us through word of mouth, either following a successful campaign or by receiving a copy of our newsletter. Please help support our work through promoting our films and books. You can also help organise screenings at community events, college and university societies or on TV stations and invite us to guest speak or host Q&A sessions. Ask newspapers and magazines to review them, go to your local library and ask them to purchase a copy.

News (Investigative Writers /Journalists)

Are you a good communicator? If so, we are always in need of self motivated writers who can seek out positive stories and organisations in our community and write short articles including interviews for publication on our website. We also need reporting on the various issues that affect us locally whether it is at work, university, school or home.

As a community we are constantly working on self-empowerment, therefore we welcome reports on the various community events taking place. We are interested in sharing Truth about the successes and challenges facing African people at home and across the Diaspora, so if you can take a picture and write with clarity and objectivity - we need you now.

Reviews (Media Watch)

Our economic development depends on our establishment of a thriving cultural marketplace. For awareness of our products and services to grow we need reviews of the good, bad and ugly that help and threaten our spiritual development and socio-political interests.

If you can write objective reviews of films, books, music, plays, clothes, poetry, restaurants, exhibitions, natural food, natural hair/skin care products, and other expressions of our enterprise from an Africentric perspective then please submit them to us for publication. We do not cover health or finance products and prefer to focus on small family orientated enterprises that give back to our community.

Administration

Can you confidently work, unassisted, with initiative whilst only meeting at least twice a month for face to face meetings? Are you a reliable and capable researcher who has internet access, can work from home with confidence and are dedicated to our community's empowerment?

If so, then we need event organisers who can put together sponsored free events where Ligali can debate, screen films or host workshops and Q&A sessions in areas where Pan African human rights are needed. We also need volunteers who are willing to take responsibility for helping put together our widely read newsletter to a strict deadline. Duties include collating and formatting event information and ensuring all contributors submit their elements on time.
