As a Creativity Hub

The centre’s creativity hub is envisioned as an extension of the community learning space. It provides a platform for members of the cultural centre to present their cultural products, give artistic performances, host small screenings, and facilitate local meetings as a counterpublic space.

It is proposed that the high-profile activities in the creativity hub will drive the centre’s brand and form the nexus of its social identity. On a day to day basis, the hub will provide a safe, sociable environment similar to that was offered by the Centerprise bookshop in Dalston or the Mangrove in Ladbroke Grove where passers-by can drop in to purchase some low cost, cultural food and share an informal chat.
